.happy handbook

Having a sense of humor is probably the single most important ingredient for a happy, lasting relationship.

In his laugh-out-loud book, Steve Doocy reminds us how funny being married or partnered up can be. The Mr. & Mrs. Happy Handbook is chock full of Doocy's zany but insightful stories on everything from early marriage to buying a home, from spending holidays with family to having children.

This isn't your typical relationship advice book. It's more of a guide to what not to do. Just think of Doocy as your extremely funny friend who wants to help you not make the same dumb mistakes he has.

Doocy is a seasoned reporter and writer and currently the co-host of the morning show "Fox and Friends." He's been happily married for 20 years--so he knows of which he speaks. And for the stuff he doesn't know, his wife Kathy (Mrs. Happy) chimes in with her own amusing "corrections" after many of his stories. Clearly these two are made for each other, but in one hysterical bit, Doocy has them join an online dating service for a month to see how compatible they would be. Of course, he didn't even crack her top 500 of local men out of a database of a few thousand!

Sometimes you just have to laugh.
